Barrister Abibat Olatunji is an Assistant Director, currently the Head of Legal Department of Computer Professionals Registration Council of Nigeria (CPN). Barrister Abibat had her Bachelor’s Degree in Law from University of Ilorin and Master’s Degree from University of Lagos. She started her career as a legal practitioner in Lagos and joined CPN in 2007. She has served in various Committees of Council.
Her expertise ranges from information technology contracting, e-commerce, e-governance, intellectual property, data protection and privacy, Internet governance and cybersecurity among others.
She has been involved in other Information Technology related activities, she is a member of Internet Society of Nigeria (ISOC-NG. She represents CPN on the Nigerian Content Consultative Forum in ICT (NCCF-ICT) established by the Nigeria Content Development Monitoring Board (NCDMB), the agency of government promoting local content adoption in oil and gas sector, She is the Legal Adviser to Association of Information Communication Technology Local Content (ICTLOCA), the association that drives the adoption of local content in ICT.
