Mrs. Margaret John David

Margaret John David, FNCS started her working career as Assistant Lecturer of Computer Science at the Kaduna Polytechnic in the year 2000. She later joined the defunct Nigerian Telecommunication Limited (NITEL) as System Analyst in 2001. At the privatization stage of NITEL, she proceeded to the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), where she worked as a Software Analyst and was part of the team that developed the e-government framework at NITDA. She later joined the services of Nigerian Institute of Ophthalmology (The National Eye Centre), where she heads the ICT Department as Director (ICT) Program Analyst.
Mrs. John David obtained her Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) Computer Science with Physics from the Federal University of Technology Minna in 1998 and M.Sc Physics, Nuclear and Computational option, from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in 2013. She is currently undergoing a Master’s in Information Technology at the National Open University, Kaduna Study Centre and also running a PhD in Nuclear and Computational Physics at Nigerian Defence Academy Kaduna. She has professional qualification as a Certified Oracle Associate and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from NTI.
Mrs. John David is a Fellow of the Nigeria Computer Society and member of various professional bodies, including Computer Professionals (Registration Council of Nigeria), Nigeria Information Technology Professionals in Civil and Public Service, Nigeria Women in Information Technology (NIWIIT), and Practical Artificial Intelligence Development Forum (PAIDeF).
Her professional interests are in system and database administration, IT project management and IT infrastructure management, e-governance, e-health and nuclear science. She enjoys reading, travelling, meeting people, cooking and discussing current affairs. Mrs. John David is happily married to Engr. Jonathan Oladun David, FNSE and they are blessed with children.
